Since our establishment in 2019, Shaqo Kaab Solutions has been driven by a clear purpose: to connect people with opportunities, strengthen organizations, and develop practical solutions that contribute to sustainable business and workforce growth.
What began as an employment and human resources solutions company in Somaliland has progressively evolved into a broader professional services organization. The Practitioners Behind The Practice
Shaqo Kaab Solutions is built on practitioner experience — people who have sat on both sides of the HR table, in global staffing firms and in Somaliland institutions.
Idil Dolaal
Idil founded Shaqo Kaab Solutions to bring institutional-grade HR practice to Somaliland's growing banks, NGOs and public institutions. Her career spans global staffing firms — Manpower, Adecco, Kelly Services and Randstad — alongside cross-sector HR work in IT, health and science, finance, construction and the NGO sector, built across Canada, Ethiopia and Somaliland.
Her practice sits at the intersection of Somaliland labour law, institutional HR reform and talent management. She is completing an MBA in Human Resource Management at Gollis University, and was a founding force behind the Somaliland Human Resource Association (SLHRA), established to set national standards and build a professional network for the sector.
All articles, frameworks and published material on this site are authored and owned by Shaqo Kaab Solutions, whoever within the firm writes them.
Idil leads every engagement personally. As the practice grows, talent associates and consultants will join the team — handling candidate sourcing, screening and shortlisting across client mandates, and maintaining the talent database that employers draw on. They will be listed here as they join.

Our training is delivered by a panel of accredited trainers and facilitators drawn from banking, NGO and public-sector practice, working bilingually in English and Somali under the firm’s Trainers, Lecturers & Facilitators policy.
Panel members are assigned to a programme on the basis of sector experience and the language the cohort needs. Where a programme calls for a specialism outside the panel, we bring in an accredited associate rather than stretch the brief.

Who we are
Shaqo Kaab Solutions is an HR outsourcing, consulting and recruitment firm at Qalib Business Centre, 2nd Floor, Jigjiga-Yar, Koodbur District, Marodi-Jeh, Hargeisa, Somaliland. For any question about your information, write to info@shaqo-kaab.com.
What we collect
From candidates: your name and contact details, your CV, your employment and education history, your qualifications, and the roles or sectors you are interested in. From training participants: your registration details, your organisation and your attendance. From visitors to this site: standard technical information such as IP address and pages visited, used to keep the site working and secure.
Why we hold it
To match you to vacancies and present you to employers, to deliver the services we have been engaged for, to contact you about opportunities relevant to you, and to meet our obligations under Somaliland law — including the Labour (Amendments & Additions) Law No. 31/2020.
Who sees your CV
We do not sell your information to anyone. Your profile goes to an employer only when we are actively shortlisting you for a role. Our practice is to tell you which employer before we release a full profile; where a client is recruiting on an undisclosed basis we will tell you the sector and location instead, so you can decide whether to proceed. We also use service providers — our website host, our email provider and our recruitment systems — who see only what they need in order to operate those services.
How long we keep it
We aim to hold candidate profiles for around three years from your last contact with us, and records of completed engagements and training for as long as contractual, tax or certification requirements need them. We may keep information longer where the law, a regulator or a client contract requires it, or where it is needed to establish or defend a legal claim.
What you can ask us to do
You may ask us for a copy of what we hold, to correct anything wrong, to delete your profile, to stop contacting you, or to stop sharing your profile with employers. Email info@shaqo-kaab.com. There is no charge for a reasonable request. We aim to respond within 30 days and will tell you if we need longer. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.
Applying is free
We never charge a candidate to register, to apply, or to be placed. If anyone asks you for a payment in our name, please tell us.
Keeping it safe, and changes to this notice
Access to your information is limited to the staff who need it, our systems are access-controlled, and our people and trainers are bound by confidentiality obligations. We will update this notice when our practices change, and the review date above will tell you when it last changed.
Complaints
If you believe we have handled your information improperly, contact us first at info@shaqo-kaab.com so that we can put it right. You keep any right you have to pursue the matter through the courts of Somaliland.
