About This Opportunity
Shaqo Kaab Solutions is recruiting this position on a confidential basis on behalf of a client based in Mogadishu, Federal Republic of Somalia. The Client is an established organisation that values operational efficiency, sustainable growth, and professional integrity, and is seeking a capable HR Officer to support its Human Resources function. Job Purpose
The Human Resource (HR) Officer provides full operational support to all HR functions by coordinating HR processes, maintaining accurate records, supporting compliance, and assisting in the implementation of HR policies and SOPs. The role ensures smooth daily HR operations while all approvals remain with the Head of Human Resource Management and Administration.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding Support
- Support recruitment processes including vacancy posting, shortlisting, and interview coordination.
- Prepare offer letters, contracts, and onboarding documentation.
- Coordinate employee induction and orientation activities.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and supervision of interns; track internship attendance, performance, and completion.
Employee Records & HR Data Management
- Maintain complete and accurate employee files, HR registers, staff lists, and contract records.
- Ensure confidentiality and proper filing of HR documents.
- Maintain accurate employee data in the HRIS/ERP system, with periodic data verification.
Attendance, Leave & Payroll Support
- Monitor daily attendance and follow up on exceptions.
- Process leave applications, update leave balances, and prepare attendance/leave summaries for payroll input.
- Track probation periods and confirmation timelines.
Performance & Training Administration
- Coordinate performance appraisals and documentation, including performance improvement plans.
- Maintain training needs and attendance records; support training and capacity-building activities.
Employee Relations & Grievance Support
- Maintain disciplinary and grievance case records; draft HR correspondence and notices for review.
- Track employee requests and inquiries, and follow up on pending HR actions.
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare HR reports covering attendance, leave, headcount, and training.
- Support audits, compliance reviews, and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and SOPs.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Management, Public Administration, or a related field. Diploma-level candidates with strong relevant experience may be considered.
Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience in HR administration or an HR support role, including HR record-keeping, attendance/leave administration, and onboarding coordination. Experience using HRIS/ERP systems is an advantage.

Working Conditions
Primarily based at the Client’s Mogadishu office, with occasional support required at other Mogadishu facilities or off-site HR events as needed. Must be available to support urgent onboarding, attendance, or employee-relations matters outside standard working hours when required.
Remuneration & Benefits
Competitive compensation package commensurate with qualifications, experience, and scope of responsibility, in line with the Client’s approved salary structure. Performance-based bonuses may apply.
